Do you need to test students or employees in the New York metro area for COVID-19? Our end-to-end saliva testing service makes it comfortable and convenient to test large groups of people on a regular basis.
We manage the entire process: delivering the saliva self-collection kits, providing collection supervisors (if needed), picking up and processing the samples, and sending results to individuals' smartphones within 24-48 hours via our HIPAA-compliant cloud-based software.
Nasal swabs no longer required. Rover Labs takes the pain out of testing for COVID without sacrificing accuracy. We provide not only the PCR saliva testing, but the technology to seamlessly register test recipients and instantaneously deliver results to smartphones. No need to download an app or remember a password. As soon as the lab tech knows the result, so do you!
Rover Labs is a diagnostics technology leader in end-to-end COVID testing that has a strategic partnership with Rover Diagnostics, a Columbia University spin-out that was part of the NIH's Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics (RADx) program to fast-track COVID testing innovation. Our mission is to increase the comfort and convenience of testing while reducing its costs.
Our service is turnkey, cost-effective, highly sensitive and seamless, so organizations can easily execute large-scale testing. This makes it ideal for offices, unions, travel hubs, entertainment venues, and others returning to work and play.
Rover Labs has provided saliva COVID testing to New York City public schools, charter schools, and universities. Our tests can be taken by children as young as two.
Our CloudLIS is made to be shared. It works with any type of test system. Diagnostic labs and test manufacturers can all use our customizable software to track and report COVID-19 test results to their customers.
Rover Labs proudly utilizes Fluidigm technology to conduct RT-PCR COVID tests. When New York City Health + Hospitals participated in a large concordance study in December 2020, the Fluidigm saliva test used by Rover Labs compared favorably with a gold-standard nasal swab test.
Saliva testing provides equally accurate results compared to nasal swabs, as well as a much more comfortable sample collection experience that avoids exposing medical staff to the virus. A growing body of peer-reviewed research confirms these advantages, including a systematic review and meta-analysis published in JAMA Internal Medicine, which stated that saliva-based tests have a similar sensitivity and specificity and present an attractive alternative to invasive nasal testing.
